A Lightbox Expo 24 Hour Painting Challenge: I joined the team as a character designer and contributed to the layout, as well as some of the finished rendering.
We wanted the scene to be chaotic, while retaining a sense of unity and clarity. To make sense of the chaos in a way that would maintain focus on the little girl, I made the monkey’s poses radiate towards the center of the frame.
Designing the monkeys themselves was a fun challenge. I enjoyed exploring how these macaques would interact with kitchenware and ingredients typically found in an Indian household.
